888 pregnant women receive ‘buntis kits’ in Angeles City
As part of the celebration of Women’s Month, the Angeles city government has began distributing 888 “buntis kits” to pregnant residents.
Each “buntis kit” contains three baby bibs, three bottles, one pack of wipes, three pajamas, three baru-baruan, 20 pieces of diaper, and an eco-bag, according to the city information office.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said the program was launched to help ensure the well-being of expecting mothers in the city, especially those in vulnerable sectors.
The mayor said the project also recognizes women’s important role and contributions in society.
