Some 721 persons with disability (PWDs) received educational aid from the provincial government of Pampanga.
The program was implemented by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) in collaboration with the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) in the second district.
Each of the beneficiaries received P2,500 worth of financial aid under the Educational Financial Assistance Program.
According to Mary Ann Zamora, PWD Affairs officer, the program aims to support the education of PWDs or their children who are in elementary and high school.
Aside from the financial assistance, the beneficiaries also received food packs containing 5 kilos of rice, 5 cans of sardines, and 5 cans of corned beef.
Officials who distributed the aids were Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon and Sajid Khan Eusoof, Guagua Mayor Tonton Torres, and Sasmuan Mayor Catalina Cabrera.
