600 disaster personnel get training on emergency response in Aurora

Some 600 personnel in the municipal and barangay disaster risk reduction and management council of Aurora underwent disaster preparedness training to raise the level of disaster response in the province, officials said.

According to Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Central Luzon Regional Director Anthony Nuyda, the training would improve the efficiency of the council members in giving emergency assistance during calamities.

The event called “Aurora, Handa Ka Ba? Preparedness and Resiliency Enhancement: Promoting Accurate Response during Emergency (PREPARE)” was organized through DILG’s Local Governance Resource Center “Tambuli.”
