Bataan Governor Albert Garcia called on his province-mates to continue observing health and safety protocols as he disclosed on Friday that six of the 12 cases of Delta variant of Covid-19 were from Bataan province, based on information from the Department of Health.

“Maghintay lamang ng mga susunod na anunsiyo mula sa pamahalaang nasyonal at mula sa inyong lingkod para sa mga karagdagang alituntunin upang masugpo ang pagkalat ng Delta variant sa ating lalawigan,” the governor said in a Punto Central Luzon report.

Garcia urged Bataan residents to take precautions as the Delta variant was more infetious than other variants of Covid–19.

Per the DOH’s record, the other cases were from Laguna and Taguig City with two cases each, and Manila and Pasig City with one each.
