Some 4,100 people joined the “Walk for Humanity” program of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Bulacan Chapter in Malolos City earlier this month.
The march started at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center and reached the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos City.
The program had the theme: “PRC is always first, always ready, and always there in service for humanity.”
It was launched to adapt and promote the Red Cross 143 programs across all barangays in the province, according to PRC.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando expressed his support for the cause through a representative.
“Ang ating gobernador ay patuloy na nakikiisa sa mga ganitong aktibidad sa lalawigan ng Bulacan, sa katunayan ay napakahalaga pong yugto ang unity walk para sa inyo sapagkat naipapakita ninyo sa inyong lipunan ang pagkakaisa,” the representative said.
