The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the completion of various infrastructure projects in Gerona town in Tarlac, including four multipurpose buildings (MPBs).
The buildings were located in Barangays Matapitap, Luna, Danzo and Buenlag, officials said.
According to Tarlac first district engineer Neil Farala, the agency earmarked a total of P26.41 million for the MPBs.
“They are part of DPWH’s Basic Infrastructure Program which aims to support the delivery of social services in the barangay level through infrastructure development,” he said in a Philippine Information Agency report.
“We are pleased that the local officials and residents of the beneficiary barangays are satisfied with the completion of these multipurpose facilities and these are just some of the infrastructure projects that we will continue to implement in the town of Gerona,” Farala said in the report.
