4 members of Khonghun clan seek elective posts in Zambales
Four members of the Khonghun family have filed for candidacy seeking different positions in Zambales province, according to a Punto Central Luzon report.
The report said the Khonghuns had “effectively displaced” other prominent political clans in Zambales like the Gordons and Magsaysays in term of number.
Zambales Rep. Jeffrey Khonghun will run for mayor of Castillejos town against former Mayor Jose Angelo Dominguez and former Vice Governor Angel Magsaysay.
Subic Mayor Johnathan “Jon” Khonghun is seeking reelection, the report added.
Vice Governor Jefferson “Jay” Khonghun will run for a congressional seat in the first district against former Rep. Mitos Magsaysay.
Jacqueline Rose Ferrer Khonghun is seeking to replace her brother as vice governor against former Vice Governor Ramon Groesbeck Lacbain II, the report said.
