3rd quarantine facility opens at Camp Olivas
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda and Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar launched on Monday the third quarantine facility at Camp Olivas, seat of the Police Regional Office 3 in San Fernando City.
PRO-3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon was also present during the formal opening of the facility, according to officials.
The Pampanga provincial government constructed the 8-unit facility using repurposed container vans. It will be used to house persons who have tested positive for Covid-19.
As of June 19, the PRO-3 has recorded 1,690 Covid-19 cases among its personnel. Some 1,504 of the cases have recovered, while 181 are active cases, and five have died.
The facility is “a small token of appreciation to our police force serving in the Covid-19 frontlines,” Pineda said.
