330 Angeles women receive ‘pangkabuhayan showcase’
Some 330 women residents from 33 barangays of Angeles City received a “pangkabuhayan showcase” under the city government’s livelihood assistance program.
The package contains P1,000 worth of frozen products from the RMM cold storage and meat shop such as tocino, hotdog, skinless, longganisa, and fries.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. said the program seeks to give the women, whose livelihood was greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, an alternative source of income.
“Maliit lang po na bagay ito, but we vow to provide the necessary assistance to all sectors of the community to help them cope up with the adverse effects of the pandemic,” the mayor said during the program.
“Tuloy-tuloy po ang mga ganitong klase ng programa mula sa City Government. We will try to provide continuous assistance to everyone, especially our financially-challenged kababayans,” Lazatin added.
