300 Aeta families in Angeles receive food packs from RIAS3, PNP

Over 300 Aeta families in Angeles City’s Barangay Sapangbato received food packs during an outreach program organized by the Regional Internal Affairs Service Region 3 (RIAS3) and Regional Advisory Council Region 3 (RAC3) of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon.

Former Magalang Mayor Lyndon Cunanan, chair of the RAC3, said the food pack distribution in the village was part of the regular project of RIAS and the advisory council.

The program called “Handog Mula Sa Puso” was aimed at giving aid to the community, particularly Aeta villagers.

“It is our humble and simple way to extend assistance by way of donating food packs as well as to promote the mandate of IAS as one of the disciplining arm of erring policemen,” Cunanan said.

The RAC3 head added that they started the program a few years ago in cooperation with a South Korean organization, 7LIONS Club chaired by Seven Piter Kim, who is also an executive officer of RIAS Advisory Council.

Cunanan and Kim thanked Colonel Segundo Lagundi, acting RIAS Region 3 director for supporting the project.

Also present during the event were Lieutenant Colonel Adriano Quizon, acting chief of the Legal Affairs Division (LAD), and other members of RIAS Region 3.
