3 Nueva Ecija roads to speed up delivery of goods to, from province

Three newly-concreted roads in Nueva Ecija are seen to speed up the delivery of goods and services in the province and nearby areas, according to a Philippine News Agency report.
The report said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Central Luzon through the Nueva Ecija second district engineering office implemented the road projects spanning 3.07 kilometers.
The projects had a combined budget of P12.6 million funded through the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022, the report added.
The newly-concreted road in General Tinio amounting to P12.3 million road was made possible through the convergence program of the DPWH and the Department of Agriculture (DA) with funding sourced from the 2021 GAA.
DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, said on Friday that all the concreted roads now ensure smoother and safer travel for motorists and commuters.
“Motorists and residents will no longer worry about their safety during rainy days when the old unpaved roads were muddy and slippery,” Mercado said in a statement.
