3 days only: DA opens Kadiwa store in Angeles mall

The Department of Agriculture (DA) in Central Luzon opened its Kadiwa ni Ani and Kita on Wheels for three days at the MarQuee Mall in Angeles City, according to officials.

The program featuring agricultural products at a cheap price was made available to Angeles residents from March 1 until March 3.

According to the DA, Kadiwa is a market system that aims to sell agricultural products at low prices to help consumers.

It seeks to ensure that food commodities are made available and accessible in high demand areas.

The program also helps low-income families, by harnessing private sector participation, capacity enhancement of farmer cooperatives and associations, and engaging community organizations’ participation in food supply distribution system, officials said.

The mobile market initiative program, according to the DA, also aims to provide affordable, accessible, and healthy agri-fishery products to the consumer, especially during this time of the pandemic.
