2nd PH high school for arts to rise in Bagac

The second high school for the arts in the Philippines will rise in Bagac town in Bataan.

Bataan Governor Albert Garcia said a usufruct agreement was signed on Thursday between the Department of Education and the Acuzar family for the constructionn of the Bataan High School for the Arts.

The is pursuant to Republic Act 11190 or “An Act Creating A High School for the Arts in the Province of Bataan to be Known as the Bataan High School for the Arts, and Appropriating Funds Therefor” authored by Bataan Rep. Joet Garcia.

“Kasama po nating dumalo sa nasabing gawain sina Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Cong. Joet Garcia, Bagac Mayor Ramil Del Rosario, DepEd Regional Director May Eclar, Bataan Schools Division Superintendent Romeo Alip at iba pang mga kawani ng DepEd,” Garcia said in a Facebook post.

The governor said the new arts high school would be only the second one in the Philippines after the Philippine High School for the Arts in Laguna.

“Lubos naman po ang pasasalamat ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bataan sa adhikaing ito ng Department of Education (DepEd) at sa suporta ng Acuzar family upang maging katuwang ng ating pamahalaan para sa patuloy nating pagsusumikap na lalo pang itaas ang kalidad ng edukasyon para sa kinabukasan ng ating mga kabataan,” he said.

“Muli, marami pong salamat at patuloy nawa tayong pagpalain ng ating Panginoon,” Garcia said.
