Typhoon Karding left 26 barangays in Pampanga province submerged in floodwaters, officials said.
Some 598 families were displaced and sheltered in evacuation centers as of Monday, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
Three villages in Minalin town, Barangays Santo Domingo, Santa Catalina and Dawe, were also flooded, according to a Sun Star Pampanga report.
Another 13 barangays in Masantol were also flooded along with 10 barangays in Macabebe, the report said.
The flooding was due to the combined tidal and fluvial waters in the coastal towns, Sun Star reported.
Some 598 families have also been brought to evacuation centers in nine municipalities and cities in Pampanga.
At least 59 evacuation centers were put up in Floridablanca, Lubao, Arayat, San Fernando City, Candaba, Macabebe, Masantol, Minalin, and San Luis, the report said.
