2 infra projects completed in Aurora province

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced the completion of two infrastructure works in the province of Aurora, including a covered court in Dilasag town and a drainage rehabilitation project in Baler.

According to DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal, the P5.39-million covered court at Dimaseset Elementary School compound has a total floor area of 600 square meters.

“It has ramps for Persons with Disabilities with handrails for easy entry into the court. It also has basketball rings and court lights to ensure that the facility can be used even at night,” he added.

The P9.8-million drainage rehabilitation project along the Reserva Section of Baler-Casiguran Road covered the construction of a reinforced concrete box culvert as drainage with a length of 12 meters and a 100-lineal meter slope protection structure.

“It will not only provide a safer and better travel experience for residents and motorists but will also mitigate flooding in the area as water from Kalipatan Creek will now flow more freely under the roadway through the culverts,” Andal said.

Both projects were funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
