2 alternate roads connect Capas to New Clark City
Two alternative roads connecting Capas town in Tarlac to the New Clark City are nearing completion, according to Public Works Secretary Mark Villar.
In a Punto Central Luzon report, the official said the two roads via the Kalangitan Access Road link the NCC to Tarlac-Zambales Road and MacArthur Highway to NCC.
“These will provide an alternate route to NCC aside from the existing North Luzon Expressway/Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway and serve as access roads to tourism spots in Capas,” Villar was quoted as saying.
The four-lane NCC to Tarlac-Zambales Road has two bridge components and has a total length of 6.40 kilometers, according to the report.
It will be connected to the completed 6.22-kilometer MacArthur Highway to NCC via Kalangitan Access Road, forming a continuous road network providing motorists a faster, shorter, and more convenient travel, the report added.
