Politikos in Central Luzon are observing Undas 2018 by remembering their departed loved ones, honoring the Saints, and issuing safety reminders to their constituents.

Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman said she joins “each and everyone of you in your prayers for your dearly departed” as the country marks All Saints’ Day today and All Souls’ Day tomorrow.

“Mag-ingat po tayong lahat sa biyahe,” she added, apparently aware of the influx of travelers who intend to visit cemeteries.

Bulacan 3rd District Rep. Lorna Silverio posted photos of what appears to be the final resting place of her late husband, which she captioned, “Honoring my late husband with a monument.”

Nueva Ecija 3rd District Rep. Rosanna “Ria” Vergara said, “Ngayong ika-1 ng Nobyembre 2018, tayo ay humingi ng gabay at panalangin sa mga santo at relihiyoso.”

Cong. Florida “Rida” Robes of San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan, for her part, issued safety tips such as, ensuring that homes are securely locked when leaving for somewhere else, and asking trusted relatives and neighbors to look after it.

She advised people who intend to visit cemeteries not to bring pointed or bladed items, liquors and loud speakers, and to bring enough food and drinks.

“Kami po ay nakikiisa sa paggunita sa mga namayapa nating mahal sa buhay,” Robes said.

“Mag-ingat po ang bawat isa, at hiling namin ang maayos at taimtim na pagdiriwang ng Undas sa ating lungsod,” she added.

Tarlac 3rd District Rep. Noel Villanueva issued similar reminders to his constituents.(END)
