19 illegal drugs suspects falls anew in Bulacan
The Bulacan police said Wednesday it apprehended 19 individuals during various anti-illegal drugs operations across the province on Tuesday.
In a statement, Sr. Supt. Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police acting director, said the suspects include men and women, aged 26 to 56 years old, who yielded a total of 50 plastic sachets of suspected “shabu,” assorted drug paraphernalia and buy-bust money.
The operations were conducted by the city and municipal police stations of Bocaue, San Jose del Monte, Marilao, San Miguel, Hagonoy, Calumpit, Norzagaray, Baliwag, and the 2nd Bulacan Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Bersaluna said the suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory for appropriate examination.
Appropriate charges are also being prepared against the suspects.
The intensified campaign of police authorities against illegal drugs stems from President Rodrigo Duterte’s harsh anti-narcotics policy.
