A total of 19 Bulacan police officers were cited by a convenience store chain for their swift response to two separate armed robbery incidents in Bulacan province in June and October.
The police officers were recognized by Alfamart Convenience Store Chain at the Provincial Police Headquarters, Camp General Alejo Santos in Malolos City earlier this month.
According to Col. Relly Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the officers deserved recognition for their prompt response to the incidents in Baliwag and Paombong towns.
Among those cited were Lt. Col. Julius Alvaro, Baliwag town police chief, and Lt. Col. Rufino Victoria Jr., the chief of police in Paombong.
Officials said the Bulacan police work closely with the managers of banks and convenience stores, as well as security guards, to keep peace and order in their jurisdiction.
