16 Angeles youths ‘rescued’ in city-wide operations
Some 14 boys and two girls were taken into the custody of the Angeles City government after they were rescued in operations in three barangays, according to officials.
The saturation drive was conducted in Barangays Cutcut, San Nicolas and Sto. Rosario, as the city government, under the administration of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., ramped up its program for the safety and welfare of residents.
Teams were deployed to the barangays under the supervision of Lazatin’s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel during the rescue operation on October 18.
The operations were conducted by personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office led by Edna Duaso; Gender and Development Office led by Mina Cabiles; Angeles City Tourism Auxiliary headed by Michael Lising; Angeles City Police Office and the Angeles City Women and Children Protection Center.
To date, four girls and two boys are in the custody centers of the city government in the Home for the Girls and Home for the Boys.
