12% of Tarlac population inoculated against Covid-19
Tarlac Governor Susan Yap said the provincial government has inoculated 12 percent of Tarlac’s entire population as of Saturday.
But the governor admitted that officials need to work harder to convince senior citizens to get vaccinated.
“We have vaccinated about 125,000 but we are low in the A2 Category, the senior citizens, where we only have about 30% of them who received the jab,” Yap said in a recorded video message.
She appealed to Tarlac seniors to get vaccinated.
Tarlac has been placed under general community quarantine until August 31.
A province-wide curfew is in effect from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. and there are checkpoints at the borders.
