12.6K private sector workers in Central Luzon get P5K cash aid — DOLE
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Central Luzon announced on Saturday that more than 12,000 workers will be given P5,000 in financial assistance to help them during the coronavirus pandemic.
“We are happy to inform you that a total of 12,615 workers in Central Luzon will be provided their P5,000 financial aid under DOLE’s COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP),” DOLE-Central Luzon said.
Beneficiaries of CAMP are affected workers regardless of status (permanent, probationary or contractual) who are employed in private establishments whose operations are affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A total of 664 establishments are covered by the DOLE program.
DOLE-Central Luzon said a total of P63.04 million had been disbursed for CAMP.
“The worker-beneficiaries of the companies included in the list are advised to wait for a text message/notice from MLhuillier as to when and how they can claim the financial support under CAMP,” the agency said.
“Make sure the contact numbers provided during application are active and in use,” it added.
“We are continuously processing applications and would give you updates as soon as they are available,” it said.
