11K test positive for Covid-19 in Central Luzon with 279 deaths — DOH
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Central Luzon has risen to 11,076 as of September 24, according to the Department of Health in Region 3.
Deaths from the dreaded virus have soared to 279, officials said.
Most of the positive Covid-19 cases were in Bulacan province with 5,022, followed by Pampanga with 2,191 and Bataan with 2,032.
Bulacan also registered the most number of deaths with 140, followed by Pampanga with 51, and Bataan with 30.
Aurora province remains the exception with only one confirmed case and no death, the figures showed.
In an advisory, DOH-Central Luzon cautioned residents to keep their distance and reminded them that infection occurs through droplets from the nose or mouth.
