VG Castro, US official exchange resolutions backing ‘sisterhood’ partnership between Bulacan, California

Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro has presented a resolution of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan with his counterpart supporting the “sisterhood” relationship between the province and the State of California, United States. Representing California, Arch. Editha M. Fuentes, chair of the City Planning Commission of the City of Glendale, handed over a copy of their own resolution on the sisterhood partnership in a ceremony held recently in a hotel in Metro Manila.

Olongapo City Mayor Rolen C. Paulino Jr., along with the people of Olongapo, has congratulated the Sangguniang Panlungsod for being a national finalist in the highly urbanized category of the 2023 Local Legislative Award. The City Council was recognized for its “significant accomplishments in local legislation that contributed to the attainment of desirable socio-economic and environmental outcomes that benefited the community and enhanced the development of the local government unit,” Paulino said, citing what was written on the plaque of recognition.

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. has conferred certificates of recognition and cash incentives to the local government model employees for this year for their valuable contributions and exemplary performance in their duties as public servants. The awards were given to more than 80 individuals, consisting of 48 contract of service staff, 25 permanent, and 13 casual employees, the city government said.

Gov Fernando extends Bulacan’s financial support to cooperative

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando has turned over loan assistance to a cooperative in the province. The P300,000 loan was given to Sandoval Multi-purpose Cooperative, one of the beneficiaries of the “Bayanihang Bulakenyo Financing Program for Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise” of the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office.

Mayor Robes joins San Jose del Monte City barangay HOA officers in boodle fight

Mayor Arthur Robes of San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan has participated in the boodle fight with the officers of the various homeowners’ associations (HOA) of Barangay Kaypian.
