Tulong, beshies! Estrellita Suansing seeks senators’ help on pet bills

Jan 25, 2018 @ 5:05

Being a politiko is not a glamorous job.

Beyong the gowns during the President’s State of the Nation Address, most of the work is done behind the public eye.

Take the case of Nueva Ecija 1st District Representative Estrellita Suansing, for example.

She personally visited the offices of Senators Nancy Binay and JV Ejercito to ask for their help in having two of her pet measures passed in the Senate.

Suansing approached Binay on her bill seeking to declare the Taong Putik and Mt. Bulaylay as tourist destinations in Nueva Ecija.

She also talked to Ejercito regarding her proposal to rename the PJG Talavera into the Talavera General Hospital and turn it into a facility with a 100-bed capacity.

Now that’s called lobbying! More power to you, Cong. Estrellita.
