Around 6,000 prospective students in Bulacan will be given scholarship through a new program by the Technical School and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

Under the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), residents of Bulacan will have an opportunity to learn technical and vocational skills for free this October.

The scholarship is open to high school graduates aged 18 years old and above. Upon graduation, Tesda will also assist scholars in getting a job.

“We have completed already more than 50 percent out of the 13,000 slots that we allocated for our province. We are inviting our constituents, and the general public to avail of this scholarship program,” said Tesda Bulacan provincial director Grace Corazon Castillo.

Some of the courses offered by Tesda include welding, dressmaking, hotel and tourism program, electrical, machinery, repair of refrigerators and air conditioners and agricultural crops production.
