Techno hub to rise in Bulacan

Nov 14, 2017 @ 9:17

A modern economic zone is soon to rise in Malolos City, Bulacan province, the provincial government recently revealed.

According to Arlene Pascual, provincial planning and development officer, Bulacan is planning to build the Bulacan Techno Hub on the province’s 12-hectare land. He said they have already applied online to begin the process.

Ma. Victoria Magsino, group manager of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority’s Management Information System and Corporate Planning Group, said out of the 376 operating eco zones as of July 2017, there are only seven in Bulacan.

The province gained P610,587 million worth of investments, employed 5,978 and exported goods worth $118,721 million.

“We have the PEZA incentive of 5% from the gross income tax to eco zone developers and locators and from that, 2% is directly going to the host LGU,” Magsino said.
