Tarlac City seizes 85.9 kilos of ‘botcha’ in public market
The Tarlac City Veterinary Office (CVO) has confiscated 85.9 kilos of “botcha” or hot meat during an inspection in a public market.
The city government said CVO head Dr. Julieta R. Parairo led the operation recently at the Tarlac City Public Market.
The seized hot meat came from three stalls.
The city government said that the vendors where the kilos of botcha were confiscated will face charges for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10536 or the Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines.
“It is expected that the City Government of Tarlac, through the leadership of Mayor Cristy Angeles, will continue to conduct its anti-botcha operations to ensure and maintain the safety of Tarlaqueño consumers,” the local government said. #
