Senior citizens in Tarlac to receive cash gifts from local gov’t
Senior citizens in Tarlac will receive cash incentives from the city government to recognize their contribution to the community.
During the Filipino Elderly Week celebration, Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles said they will distribute in December cash gift allowances worth P500 each to the 35,000 registered senior citizens in the city.
According to city officials, the incentive aims to pay back the love and care that the elderly had provided for their families and the society as a whole.
The Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines (FSCAP) Tarlac Chapter led the celebration of elderly Filipinos from different barangays in Tarlac.
Activities offered to the elderly include thanksgiving services and a motorcade and float parade from Lola Lakambini 2017.
