Roman’s heart is ‘broken’ over slain OFW in Kuwait
Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman is sad and angered by the gruesome death of overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Joanna Daniela Demafelis.
Demafelis’ body was discovered in a freezer in Kuwait. Marks on her cadaver indicate she was strangled to death.
“My heart is broken. As President Duterte said, ‘The Filipino is no slave to anyone.’ We are a proud people, and we deserve to be treated with dignity and respect,” said Roman.
She then said the violence against OFWs must end.
“The violence against our brave, hardworking OFWs must end now. Joanna, and all the other victims of violence and abuse, deserve justice. Their families deserve answers,” said Roman.
“They may no longer be with us, but the fight for Joanna – for justice – has only begun,” she added.
Lead the fight, Miss G!
