Bataan 1st District Representative Geraldine Roman lauded the letter written more than 50 tech companies opposing United States President Donald Trump’s plan to narrow gender definitions.

The politiko shared a news story about the opposition letter written by Apple, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Intel, and other tech companies to Trump.

“Any attempt at diminishing the civil rights protections gained by the LGBT community will be faced with protests all over the world – even by top tech companies. Thank you very much to Apple, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Intel and all the rest of the 50 plus top companies for coming together to sign a letter expressing opposition to Trump’s reported attempt to redefine gender,” said Roman.

“Thanks to all these companies for opposing any administrative and legislative efforts to erase transgender protections. Sincerest gratitude to these same companies which joined forces to express in strongest terms that “they are opposing any policy or regulation that violates the privacy rights of those that identify as transgender, gender nonbinary, or intersex,” she added.
