Pineda gifts police personnel with 3 vehicles, cash
Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda prepared a gift for the Philippine National Police as it celebrated its 27th founding anniversary.
Pineda turned over three vehicles to the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Central Luzon, PNP Aviation and Security Group, Pampanga SWAT and Provincial Mobile Force during the recognition rites held at Camp Olivas for 40 outstanding police personnel.
“Please accept the three vehicles that I will give,” the governor said.
The governor also handed over a check worth P20,000 each to five widows of slain policemen who died in the line of duty.
During the turnover ceremonies, Pineda expressed that she will continue to support the national police force.
She also commended Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, PRO-Central Luzon director, for maintaining peace and order in the different provinces in the region especially Pampanga.
The policemen were recognized for “uplifting” the image of the PNP. Those who were awarded include Police Deputy Regional Director for Administration Chief Superintendent Elmer Bantog, Police Regional Director for Operations Senior Superintendent Ronald Llanera, Regional Directorial Staff Senior Superintendent Romil Mitra, and Chief of the Regional Headquarters and Support Group Senior Superintendent Rolly Mendoza.
