Nov 13, 2017 @ 11:45

Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapal Arroyo hosted the welcome dinner for Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi on Saturday, November 11, in Pampanga, while President Rodrigo Duterte was still in Vietnam.

President Duterte plays host to the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Leaders (Asean) as this year’s chair. A decade ago, Arroyo also chaired the Asean when she was the president.

Arroyo was nothing short of presidential during the grand entrance with the two world leaders for the dinner held in her hometown.

She exuded grace as she gave way to Hun Sen and Suu Kyi.

Also in attendance were several officials from Myanmar and Cambodia, and Cabinet members of the current Philippine government and during Arroyo’s term as president.

The dinner, held at Midori Clark Hotel, featured Filipino dishes.
