Pampanga LGU plans to subsidize Mexico hemodialysis center
The Pampanga provincial government is mulling to sign an agreement with the Mexico local government to enhance the latter’s hemodialysis center.
According to Pampanga Acting Governor Dennis Pineda, he would push for the forging of a memorandum of agreement in order to provide subsidy to kidney failure patients and to help get additional dialysis machines for the center.
The 70-million dialysis center in Mexico was inaugurated late last month.
Mexico Mayor Teddy Tumang said the Sangguniang Bayan was able to put up the center by using the P32 million in taxes paid by the SM Group of Companies as start up funds.
The center with 24 dialysis machines is located next to the Mexico Community Hospital in Barangay San Carlos.
