Over 500 fisherfolk families in Masinloc get help from Coast Guard
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has conducted an outreach program in Zambales, benefiting more than 500 fisherfolk families.
The PCG, along with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), held relief operations, medical and dental civic action program, and psychosocial activity for the residents of Barangay South Poblacion and Barangay San Salvador in Masinloc on August 4.
The activity aimed to promote social responsibility of the Coast Guard and to strengthen the legitimacy of the organization in its human service character, PCG said.
It urged the Masinloc residents to volunteer as active members of the PCGA, a service-oriented, uniformed volunteer organization.
