Neda to deliberate on Bulacan airport project this month

Nov 9, 2017 @ 7:58

The deliberations of the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda) for the Bulacan Airport Project proposal of San Miguel Corp. is scheduled this month.

Jonathan Uy, assistant secretary for policy and planning of Neda, confirmed that the agency’s Investment Coordination Committee (ICC) has already received the proposal for the P700-billion airport project.

SMC plans to build the airport on a 2,500-hectare land with a passenger capacity of 100 million passengers yearly.

Once approved by the ICC, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade earlier said that the proposal will be subject to a Swiss challenge.

A Swiss challenge will allow third parties to match or exceed the bid of SMC.
