Nearly 1,000 Cabanatuan residents receive aid under UCT from DSWD
Almost 1,000 beneficiaries of the Social Pension program from Nueva Ecija have received their financial assistance, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 3 (DSWD FO3).
The 976 recepients came from 89 villages in Cabanatuan City.
They received the cash grant of P2,400 each under the unconditional cash transfer program (UCT) of the government.
Being implemented by the DSWD, UCT is a cash subsidy provided under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law to help poor Filipinos cushion the adverse economic impact of the law.
For 2018, the 10 million target beneficiaries will receive P200 per month or P2,400 for one year, while in 2019 and 2020, the aid will increase to P300 or P3,600 a year.
