Oct 6, 2017 @ 6:34

Members of the Vice Mayors League of the Philippines (VMLP) and the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) of Central Luzon tackled federalism and a stricter implementation of solid waste management during the two-day joint leadership summit in Nueva Ecija.

Lawyer Genaro Moreno, former legal service director of the Department of Interior and Local Government said the public should not worry about federalism, because only the Congress will undergo a transition once it gets approved.

Meanwhile, VMLP National Vice President and Cabanatuan City Vice Mayor Anthony Umali, and PCL Regional Chair and Sta. Rosa Councilor Macoy Matias signed the Environmental Compliance Commitment to ensure that solid waste management in their localities will be strictly implemented, as promoted by Department of Environment and Natural Resources Environmental Management Bureau Regional Director Lormelyn Claudio

Around 600 delegates from the region’s seven provinces attended the summit.
