Hospital not involved in leg found in provincial hall

Nov 22, 2017 @ 8:05

The provincial investigation branch of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office denied that the officials of the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) have responsibility on the amputated leg recently found inside a box at the backyard of Provincial Government of Bulacan in Malolos City.

According to local authorities, the body part was left by the owner’s son last Friday. The owner of the leg has diabetes.

Investigators identified the owner as Gregorio Evangelista, 68, from the village of Iba in Meycauayan City. He’s currently recovering at the medical ward of the Bulacan Medical Center.

The leg was found wrapped in black garbage bag inside a box. It has sparked controversy in social media when netizens speculated that the owner was probably a victim of “chop-chop” or summary killing.
