Garcia eyes creation of Bataan High School for the Arts
Bataan 2nd District Representative Joet Garcia is pushing for the establishment of a a high school for the arts in the province.
The Bataan politiko recently met with Department of Education (DepEd) Assistant Secretary Tonisito Umali and Philippine High School for the Arts Director Vim Nadera to consult the creation of the Bataan High School for the Arts (BHSA).
Garcia’s House Bill No. 4463 aims to create a national high school that will nurture artistically gifted students not only in the province but also across the country.
The proposed measure will create an especially designed secondary education curriculum that focuses on the arts.
This is in line with the Bataan provincial government’s thrust to make the province a center for education.
