Authorities have arrested the alleged gunman in the murder of Fr. Richmond Nilo in Nueva Ecija, Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 said Friday.

Suspect Adell Roll Milan was nabbed Thursday night, June 14, after he was positively identified through the rogue gallery and computerized facial illustration of suspects by the witness and companion of the slain priest.

Milan, a resident of Brgy. Malapit, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija, was allegedly a member of gun-for-hire group and former drug surrenderer.

Milan is now under the custody of Nueva Ecija police and will face murder complaint, PRO 3 said.

“This development will bring us closer to the real motive behind Fr Nilo’s death as we are still conducting follow-up operations for the possible arrest of other personalities involved,” siad PRO3 Director Chief Supt. Amador Corpus.

Nilo, a parish priest of Zaragosa town, was shot dead on June 10 inside a chapel in Brgy. Mayamot, Zaragosa when he was about to celebrate a mass.

Police have yet to determine the real motive of the killing.
