BOC assigns new Clark port head
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) said Thursday it has designated new chief at the Port of Clark in Pampanga.
The appointment of lawyer Lilibeth S. Sandag of Revenue Collection Monitoring Group (RCMG) to head Port of Clark is part of the BOC’s major reshuffle with the hope to increase revenue collections of the agency.
Customs Commissioner Isidro Lapena said Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III signed the Customs Personnel Order(s) of 66 personnel including the district collectors of the ports who failed to meet their March revenue target.
Sandag replaced Maritess T. Martin, who is now the new district collector of Manila International Container Port (MICP).
In March, Port of Clark, however, exceeded its collection target.
Clark collected P154 million in revenue, 29.8 percent up against the P119 million target last month.
