Bataan farmer cooperatives receive training from NFA

The National Food Authority (NFA) office in Bataan recently sponsored a seminar for farmer cooperatives in Balanga City.

Dubbed the “Fundamentals of Cooperatives”, the seminar was held at Lou-is Resort & Restaurant in the city on March 7.

During the event, officers of newly formed cooperatives received basic knowledge about their respective tasks from resource speakers from the NFA.Officers who have been in their respective cooperatives for a period of time, meanwhile, were given a refresher course.

Aside from learning the essentials of cooperatives, participants also joined discussions on the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law, as well as strategic planning that taught them how to maintain successful cooperatives.

Trainers include Mr. Renato Narciso Robel, Mr. Nilo Sabado and Ms. Caroline Rozul from NFA- Industry Services Department (ISD).

NFA-ISD is an accredited cooperative training provider by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). Participants may credit the seminar in requesting for Certificate of Good Standing from CDA.

The one-day seminar is spearheaded by NFA-Bataan provincial manager Adelaida C. Nuestro and registration and licensing officer Febe O. Austria.
