‘Ang Pepe mo, Ang Pepe ko’ campaign jingle draws thousands of shares, views

May 11, 2018 @ 3:48

A campaign jingle of a certain candidate in the barangay election in Nueva Ecija could be one of the most viewed and shared so far.

To the tune of Voltes V, the voters who could hear the 2-minute jingle of Pepe Pacheco, a barangay captain aspirant in Brgy. Bucot in Aliaga town, could probably immediately recall his name. But of course, voting for him is another matter.

Composed by Generation Music Productions, the title of the jingle was “Ang Pepe mo, Ang Pepe ko; PEPE PACHECO!”

Anyone who would listen to the campaign jingle posted on Facebook page by netizen Apet Cruz would probably chuckle due to apparent double-meaning of the lyrics.

As of writing, the post has 16,000 shares, 812,000 views and 10,000 likes.

It was posted on March 22 when the campaign period for the May 14 local polls had not yet started.
